The Legislative Affairs Committee:
- Maintains an effective legislative tracking system to
identify issues that affect Somerset County and the Business
Partnership’s
member municipalities, schools and businesses
- Maintains a regularly updated legislative scorecard to
indicate success, progress or status of B.P. positioning
- Establishes benchmarks with other organizations to measure
progress and success.
To promote recognition and awareness, the Public Affairs focus area
is the “go-to group” as a conduit for public policy
issues – upward to Senators, Congressmen and State Legislators
and outward to Business Partnership membership. There
is a continuous effort to survey and gauge SCBP membership’s
perceived return of investment.
